Dive Theory Lessons:

a) I have a busy work schedule on weekdays, can I skip the theory lessons and self study the manual?
You could self study the dive manual at you own time should your work commitment prevents you from attending our weekly dive theory lessons. You can complete the quizes and final examination during your open water training trip.


b) What time does the theory lessons starts?
Our Open Water Diver theory lessons starts every Monday and Tuesday from 7PM at our clubhouse. Each session will last approximately 3 hours. There will be one theory lesson for Rescue Diver course, the course is schedule on every Wednesday from 7PM at our clubhouse. The session will last approximately 3 hours.

c) Is it possible for me to attend the theory lessons over 2 weeks?
Yes, you could attend the first theory lesson on Monday evening and the second lesson on Tuesday in the following week.

d) Is it possible to conduct theory lessons on weekend?
Yes, we do conduct theory lessons on weekend and it can be arranged separately. However, there must be a minimum 6 students before we can form a weekend class.

e) Do you provide group discount if we sign up as a group?
We do provide group/corporate discount. However, in order to eligible for group discount, you must form a minimum group of 15 students. You are welcome to contact us for further discussion.

Confined Water / Pool Training Lessons:

a) Can I skip the pool training lessons?
No. Confined water training lesson will teach you all the essential skills so that you could scuba dive safely. It is imperative that you master them before your open water training trip.

b) Where do you conduct the pool training lessons?

c) What is the confined water/pool training lessons schedule like?
Our confined water training lessons are scheduled on Sunday from 9AM to 3PM.

d) What do I need to bring along for the pool training lessons?
You will need to bring along your swimming attire and toiletries.

e) Can I dive if I am wearing contact lenses?
Yes, you certainly could. Alternatively, you could purchase a prescription lens mask for your training.

f) Can I use my own basic scuba equipment such as mask, snorkel and fins to for the pool lessons?
Yes, you are welcome to use your own basic scuba gear throughout the course. In fact, we recommend that you purchase you own set of basic gear to begin with. Please let us know should you keen to purchase you own basic scuba gear. We will be able to advice you the right gear to purchase.

Unfortunately, no additional discount will be given from our promotional price should you decide to use your own equipment as our dive gears are already provided free-of-charge.

Open Water Training / Island Trip:

a) Where does the weekend training/island trip depart from Singapore?
Our weekend training/island trip depart every Friday at 8PM from our clubhouse to Malaysia. Please be at our clubhouse at least 30 minutes before departure time to complete the rest of the paper work and settle all the outstanding balance.

b) Do I need a visa to enter Malaysia?
Generally, you do not need to apply visa to visit Malaysia. However, we strongly encourage you to verify with your country's embassy/high commission or any travel agencies in Singapore before you book the trip.

c) What should I pack for the trip?
You should bring along your valid travel document aka. passport, some Malaysia currencies, sun glasses, swimming attire, toiletries, sun screen and some motion sickness medication should you prone to motion sickness. Please pack light for the trip. Tioman and Dayang are lay back islands especially Dayang. Do bring along a wind breaker/jacket as the journey to the island may be cold.

d) How long is the boat journey to the island?
The overnight ferry boat ride to Pulau Aur will take approximately 3 hours to reach the island.
The ferry boat ride to Pulau Tioman will take approximately 1.5-2 hours to reach the island.

e) What can I expect when I reached the island?
Accomodation arrangement in Pulau Dayang comprises of dormitory styled and quad/twin sharing rooms. All rooms are air-conditioned. The resort provides pillow, blanket and towel. You are welcome to bring your own towel. Those who wish to stay in quad/twin sharing rooms will need to top up a small fee and rooms are subjected to availability.

Free flow of coffee, drinking water and light snacks are readily available. Beer are sold on the island and are at you own expense. However, for your own safety, we do not encourage you to consume alcohol beverages between your dives.

Accomodation arrangement in Pulau Tioman in Paya Village are quad sharing rooms. All rooms come with attached bathroom with hot shower and are air-conditioned. The resort provides pillow, blanket and towel. You are welcome to bring your own towel.

Drinking water are readily available for refill at the dinning hall. All other beverages consumed are at you own expense. For your own safety, we do not encourage you to consume alcohol beverages between your dives.

f) Can I use my own basic scuba equipment such as mask, snorkel and fins to for the open water trip?
You are welcome to use your own basic scuba gear throughout the course. In fact ,we recommend that you purchase you own set of basic gear so that you feel more comfortable. Please let us know should you keen to purchase you own basic scuba gear. We will be able to advice you the right gear to purchase.

Unfortunately, no additional discount will be given from our promotional price should you decided to use your own equipment as our dive gear are already provided free-of-charge.

Leisure Dive Trips:

a) What are the equipment is provided to leisure divers?
The basic equipment provided to leisure divers are BCD, regulator, wetsuit, weight belt, fins.
Dive accessories such as underwater light/torch, surface marker, dive computer, dive knife and writing slate WILL NOT BE PROVIDED as part of our dive package.

b) Will I get any discount if I bring my own equipment/gear?
Unfortunately, no additional discount will be given from our promotional price should you decide to use your own equipment as our dive gears are already provided free-of-charge.

 

Course Trip Registration:

a) How do I sign up for the course/trip?
To sign up for any course or leisure dive trip, all you need to do is to contact us and provide us with the you name, contact number, the date of course/trip that you intend to sign up so that we could make the necessary arrangements for you.


b) What do I need to bring along for the theory lessons?
You will need to bring along 2 passport-sized photographs and S$250 deposits when you sign up for any PADI courses.
For PADI Open Water course, You will receive the original PADI Open Water manual and PADI Recreational Dive Planner(RDP) upon receiving of deposits.

For PADI Rescue Diver course, you will receive original PADI Rescue Diver manual and dive slate upon receiving of deposits.

For leisure dive trip, a S$250 deposits is required upon signing up for the trip.

Note: Your course/trip booking is only secured after we have receive the deposits.


c) Which are the acceptable mode of payment?
We accept cash, cheque or internet fund transfer as the mode payment.
For cheque payment, please make your cheque payable to Apache Diver Inc Pte Ltd.
For Internet Fund Transfer - POSB Saving Acct 153-65560-0. Please inform us upon payment.

Course Trip Cancellation:

a) What are the charges should I postpone or cancel my trip/course due to unforeseen circumstances?
- Postpone 1 week prior island training trip - No penalty
- Postpone less than 3 days before island training trip - S$250 forfeiture

b) What if I decided to withdrawn from the course/trip?
- Withdrawn after attending theory lessons - S$100 forfeiture
- Withdrawn after attending pool lesson - S$100 forfeiture
- Withdrawn after attending theory & pool lessons - S$200 forfeiture
- Withdrawn less than 3 days before island training trip - No refund
